TO ENJOY THE WORLD CUP….

– Plan your travel and your arrival at the competition site well in advance,
– Use public transport or carpool,
– Remember to print out your tickets or load them onto your smartphone,
– Payments at the refreshment and food stands can only be made by credit card or cashless card,
– Come well-shod and warmly dressed,
Check the times and conditions of access to the stadium,
– Anticipate your entry into the stadium in order to facilitate access and take advantage of the entertainment on the site,
– At the end of the races, be patient when the stadium is evacuated.

YOU COME FOR 4 DAYS
OR FOR THE WEEK

If you are coming by car, we advise you to park in the car park of your chalet or residence and not to use your vehicle during the 4 days of competition. Depending on where you are staying, you can get to the stadium on foot or by ski-bus.

If you are coming by train, Annecy SNCF station is served by the regular line Y62 – Y63 Annecy – Le Grand-Bornand.

– Arrival/departure from Le Grand-Bornand, stop at the entrance to the bus station (technical cow sculpture).

– Passengers travelling to Chinaillon and the Bouchet / Nant-Robert valley, please refer to the ‘Getting around the resort’ section.

– As traffic is very heavy at the end of the races, particularly on Sundays, we strongly recommend that you allow for a much longer journey to the station.

YOU COME FOR THE DAY

As parking is very limited and restricted, we recommend carpooling or taking public transport.

Buses will drop you off at the gates of the biathlon stadium.

FREE SPECIAL SHUTTLES UPON RESERVATION

In partnership with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, SNCF TER and the organising committee, a simple, practical and eco-friendly solution is available to take you directly to the gates of the biathlon stadium:

  • From Annecy: lines Y62 and Y6
  • From La Roche-sur-Foron or Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny: special coach service

Free shuttles from 18 to 21 December for anyone with a ticket to the World Cup for the day in question, which must be presented when boarding.

Reservation required with credit card details. Charge only applies if you do not board on the day. (Reservation platform coming soon)

Staying for several days? You must reserve a shuttle for each day individually.

SPECIAL SHUTTLES FROM THÔNES OR ENTREMONT

free shuttle service from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 December 2025

Special route from Thônes and from Entremont (commune of Glières-Val-de-Borne): departure from signposted park-and-ride sites.

Arrival/departure in Le Grand-Bornand: Grand-Bornand Village centre on the Route du Chinaillon.

Shuttle bus times :
– Thursday and Friday from 8.30am to 7pm. Please note that the service will be interrupted 1 hour before the start of the race and will resume at the end of the race.
– Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 8pm. Please note that the service will be interrupted 1 hour before the start of the race and will resume at the end of the race.

Due to the large number of spectators, we strongly recommend that you make your journey to the park-and-ride facilities well in advance, arriving no later than 2 hours before the start of the first race of the day.

The shuttles do not stop on their way.

ENCOURAGE CARPOOLING

Use Togetzer to carpool for your journeys and join the dedicated event by finding a route or posting your own to get to the Thônes (if you’re taking the A41) and Glières Val-de-Borne / Entremont (if you’re taking the A40) park-and-ride sites, then take the free shuttle bus to Le Grand-Bornand.

GETTING AROUND THE RESORT

To get around the resort, use the free buses.

From Saturday 13 to Wednesday 17 December 2025:

– Line A Chinaillon:
Saturday from 7am to 7.45pm and Sunday to Wednesday from 7.50am to 7.45pm
On Wednesday morning, due to the market, the La Poste and Les Parrasses stops will not be served; the bus will pass through L’Orée du Bois and stop at Charvet.

– Line F/G Vallée du Bouchet / Nant Robert from 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
The bus goes up the Bouchet valley and down via Les Potais and Le Nant Robert.

All buses will pass by the bus station entrance (technical cow sculpture).

From Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 December 2025

– Line A Chinaillon from 6.45am to midnight:
Arrival at the Village at the La Poste stop.
Departure for Chinaillon from the La Poste stop before 3pm and from 6pm onwards.
Departure from the Beauregard stop on the Chinaillon road (signposted pedestrian access from the centre) from 3pm to 6pm.

– Line F/G Vallée du Bouchet / Nant Robert:
Thursday 18th and Friday 20th from 8am to 10pm and Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st from 8am to midnight.
Arrival and departure at the foot of the Rosay cable car (ascent via the Vallée du Bouchet road and descent via Le Nant-Robert from Les Potais).

– A 40 (Autoroute Blanche): exit N° 16 Bonneville, direction Stations des Aravis 20 km away, then Glières-Val-de-Borne Entremont.- A 41 exit N°17 “Annecy Nord” direction “Thônes” / Stations des Aravis” 30 km away

– From the North of France, follow the A39 motorway from Dijon, direction Geneva
– In case of very bad weather conditions, favour access via Annecy.
